The FRP acid-base storage tank is a non-metallic composite material tank made of resin and glass fiber wound by a microcomputer-controlled machine. The normal service life of the mechanically wound FRP storage tank is 8 to 15 years, and the length of service life is related to the product. There is an important relationship between the quality, the basis of installation, the chemical properties of the stored material, the amount of storage, and standardized operations.

The maximum guaranteed FRP acid-base storage tank is always kept at normal pressure inside and outside. FRP storage tanks are usually wound as a whole, which is relatively strong against positive pressure, but weak against negative pressure, especially for tanks with a diameter of more than 2000mm. More than half of the common quality accidents in storage tanks are caused by the negative pressure inside the storage tank and the damage of internal suction due to the closure of the exhaust hole or the blockage of the exhaust hole during the pumping process of the storage tank. Therefore, keeping the vent hole open all the time or keeping the inside of the storage tank in a constant pressure state is very important for the safety protection of the storage tank.

Because of practical needs, it is very inadvisable to use the same storage tank to frequently contain different media without increasing fixed investment. The anti-corrosion performance of FRP acid-base storage tanks mainly depends on the anti-corrosion inner layer of the storage tank. The anti-corrosion inner layer resins used for different media of acid, alkali and salt and different temperatures are different. The storage tank is used to hold lye, and the lining anti-corrosion layer will quickly break down and corrode. Similarly, even if acid storage tanks are often filled with acids of different media, the corrosion of the inner layer of the storage tank is quite large, thus affecting the service life of the storage tank.

If the FRP acid-base storage tank is used for a period of time, if it is moved frequently, the axial stress of the structural layer of the FRP storage tank will be damaged, the strength of the FRP acid-base storage tank will be reduced, and the service life of the FRP storage tank will be shortened.
